Are you watching the clips as the rest of the card downloads,
but after they Finish downloading, they are no longer watchable and then you have to download again?
an error right at the end of the download and you have to re-download again?

If answer is NO try this..
If Yes, Leave a reply...


Quit VG, and the downloader ( use taskmanager if you have to)

I would open your data folder and make a backup of these two files.
models.lst
models.vghd

after you have a saved copy
Delete both of those files from the data folder.

restart VG
let it rebuild

Hi,

I download DB cards numbers 2 and 3 and they work fine,but when I come back to them the next day it says I need to download them again, I have done this 2 or 3 times but I still cannot watch without having to download them again ?

Any help appreciated

@ckvghduser: it's easy to explain: 2 mods who normally do not or hardly ever vote will vote because it's Aria, so that's 2 votes. Plus there are 4 new voters in this challenge, who may or may not have been alerted to this challenge by Aria fans.
It all comes down to the voter base probably not being very representative and the chance of the voters for a specific girl being online.
But who knows, perhaps another day Lorena will still beat Aria, and let's not forget that for the same reasons Aria got beaten by Bijou ;-)

It's not a matter of defending it.
It's investigating what's the possible reason for, some members seeing a much softer image than others.

There are almost a dozen QA members, (not all of them review the same card)
so that's quite a few different configurations.

If QA are not seeing it, and Totem isn't seeing it,
Then we have to figure out why it's noticeable on some members than others.

Case in point, the difference between my screen capture which looks good compared to your much Softer screen capture.

I was also pointing out that the use of filters while encoding the clips is NOT NEW.
Totem has been doing it for a long time.

Without knowing the video card and monitor info,
Screen resolution, Width and Height of the Monitor
It's hard to tell if it is system specific, clip specific, or something else.

Is there a chance the graphics adapter may be smoothing out this effect more?
I'd certainly like to see some kind of 'before and after' shots of the filters if possible...

All we are asking is to carry out our suggestion to developers instead of defending it.
That is my main purpose of posting, and forums. I was reading earlier post and people do not like the current settings of the cards. I do not want future cards with this quality, and no one will..it is just matter of time.

Firstly let me say this is not a moaning thread.
I am pretty happy with most things here.

But this relates to Pricilla Jones.
Now she is a nice girl.
Pretty eyes , nice mover , great body.
But she looks a tiny bit like banksy has been at her.
Any chance of some ladies of a similar shape (and degree of fitness) but with a little less ink?
We seem to be getting a LOT of tattoos and piercings lately.

Call me old fashioned but I find them a little less attractive than the ladies without them.

it's been in use quite a long time.

so 1526 days ago is more then 4 years that Totem has been using filters during the encoding.

On my screens they seem to look okay.
the sample photo from sossqq does look softer than what I see on my screen.

@Relmurmot: suggestions are welcome, I can't think of a simple way to improve your situation without making things more complicated than they already are..

Also folks: I'll be away on vacation for a week starting tomorrow morning, so I'll probably not be able to vote for Lorena a few times. Have fun with the ladder and check out the rules if in doubt. But if things get messed up accidentally anyway, remember it's only a bit of fun ;-)

WHY!!!!!!


So now i know this is the issue!! Why would you take away detail from the shows and make them blurry and smoothened!

If you look at my screen shots you will see that this not only takes the detail away from the edges where it merges into the background but also other areas like in Kathy roar for example where the bikini ends and her skin starts or like the edges of her nose or eyes.. all blurred cos of this filter!

Please whoever made this decision stop doing it and if possible release these cards without the softening filter.... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

You can see how in Kathy Roar the skin looks smoothened lacking detail.

And if you look at the edges of the skin against the background they are blurry and smooth not sharp and detailed like Kathy Moore.

Why are newer cards worse than older ones (even the ones made after the ones that had lighting issues)

I know it depends on how pedantic people are with the quality.

But for me even I find the older shows so much sharper! Like Kathy Moore - solo

So here is a comparison between - Kathy Moore - Solo & Kathy - Roar

I have both at 100% zoom and my screen resolution is 1360x768

Keep in mind that the Kathy - Roar shows are in 1080p and Kathy Moore is 720p

The fact that they both look same size is a whole other annoying issue cos the newer shows are smaller in size at 100% compared to older shows.

So if I did a comparison between both shows at 720p & 100% zoom Kathy Roar would look even worse as it would be smaller size... This is really annoying as well. I will post that comparison later..

I bought a new PC and i'm installing VGHD here. The software says i'm logged in on some random name like "v1987564". I bought over 10 cards but i can't sync them and download them, because i can't seem to log in with my real account on the software. How do i solve this?

The X-rated level has been created (obviously) for DeskBabes.
We are not asking VirtuaGirl strippers to do any X-rated clips, but sometimes it happens has we go close to that limit. When it happen, we can either fade out, but it has been perceived very negativly, as censoship, by members in the past. We rather chose to X-rate the clips that are going a bit too far, so each member has the possibility to filter it.

We're always working hard to increase quality and user satisfaction, it's good to hear some kind words about it. Thank you :)
