Ich kann das, was spiderman1804 geschrieben hat genauso bestätigen. Habe mir vor ein paar Tagen auch einen neuen Rechner aufgesetzt und sogar eine neues Betriebssystem installiert. Auf dem alten habe ich Virtuagirl zunächst bei bestehender Internetverbindung deinstalliert. Da ich die Models aber nicht nochmal runterladen wollte, habe ich die Option "models behalten" gewählt. In den neuen Rechner habe ich dann das Laufwerk aus dem alten wieder eingebaut. VGirl lies sich problemlos installieren und hat sogar das alte Modelverzeichnis erkannt, so dass ich nicht alles nochmal runterladen musste. Geht genauso übrigens auch bei Steam und den damit installierten Spielen - falls Dich das auch betrifft.

Wichtig ist, dass du deine Login-Daten (Username und Passwort) kennst. Solltest du dein Passwort vergessen haben, dann gehe auf der Webseite auf: Hilfe - Kundenservice - Login/Passwort

Es ist erlaubt die VirtuaGirl-Software auf zwei Rechnern zu nutzen. Auf beiden Rechnern wird der selbe Login und Passwort benötigt.
Soll ein Rechner zurückgesetzt werden, dann deinstalliere die Software nur, wenn du auf diesem (alten) Rechner auch Zugang zum Internet hast. Unbedingt die Deinstallation von der Software nutzen.
Sollte deine Instellation mit dem Login und Passwort scheitern, dann gehe im Forum in den Bereich "Bugs & Fixes" und dort auf das Thema "Too Many Installs".

Auf dem neuen Rechner die aktuelle Software installieren und mit den oben ermittelten Daten anmelden.


Dann müssen noch die Cards heruntergeladen werden. Wenn du alle Cards aus dem Web laden möchtest, dann markiere nur einige der Cards (etwa 10 bis 20 Cards) und lade diese in einem Schwung herunter. Wiederhole es bis alle Cards heruntergeladen sind..

Die andere Möglichkeit ist es, die Cards (models-Verzeichnis) auf den neuen Rechner, in das richtige Verzeichnis, zu kopieren und dann die Cards mit dem "Synchronize with server"- Button und rechter Maustaste auf "Rebuild all" im System anzumelden. (Texte auf dem Button und im Menü habe ich hier in englischer Sprache aufgeschrieben, da ich diese verwende.)

Ich hoffe, dass ich helfen konnte. Ich wünsche dir Glück bei der Installation auf deinem neuen Rechner und weiterhin Spass an VirtuaGirl.

ich habe vor mir ein neuen PC zuzulegen muss ich irgendwas beachten bevor ich die Software auf meinem neuen Rechner aufspiele? Z.b Wegen lizenzen oder sowas nicht das der Account gesperrt wird.

Not the deskbabes models, they don't hang on your cursor. Don't know what's the idea here. Being able to move them around (in mini-mode) just doesn't feel very interactive to me.

Hi, not really a new member but i havent been used this in a long time and just came back (it wont let me post anywhere else). When i used this before i could select to hide all unselected / not downloaded cards. I can not find this option anywhere. Im not sure if it is in the filter spot but whenever i unselect 1 option in filter every card disapears. Anyone able to help me?

I like the animations (warps) that the new shaders bring to many older scene files, so remixing looks like the name of the game at the moment. Its a steep learning curve, however adapting something you already have can give interesting effects.

@hombre, I've been trying with limited success to convert some of my older stuff to 2D camera now because I didn't realise you and No.6 & possibly many others were having difficulty running the 3D camera with multi-shaders effectively on your GPU's. Its put a spoke in the works for me, insofar as I can't easily back-tilt quad nested sprites on their x-axis to be used as ramped dance floors for shader rendering etc. Latest remix for an ET-fountain (7 models version) using a split floor (above) into a 2D camera version is an example proving hellish to adjust.

I'll try to put some more remixes up incl. 2Dcam over the weekend if thats useful. Keep telling us if they crash or stutter on your end, its very helpful to know, so I can keep modifying things. Thanks a lot 😊

Edit: @Theemu @Wyld et boffins, on the subject of 3D camera, I know Shadertoy only runs in 2D old GLSL. Just wondering if you have tried using this open source player, or if it could be somehow adapted into VGPlayer to make it more 3D camera compatible:

I may be wrong but isn't it just with the 3K cards you can click on them and move them to where want on the screen or pick them up and they hang and drop from the top of the screen ...

Also, thank you so much for your long comments on the .scn file for the Flame of Life/cage/lift scene. I feel totally humbled. I also love the extra masking you did so that it really does look like the cage is rising out of a hole now. Great stuff, buddy :)

Fixes

• Bugfix for the Exception in the model_slideshow playmode if the playlist contained a duo show.
  Not so easy to explain the reason for it. It is a consequence of the fact that in the new xml files provided for each show in a case of a duo show the 2 models are listed separately. When you did load the playlist into the toolbox it would then add a third model for the display which is just both models together. So for show a0517 it would just contain the models
  Ariel
  Trisha and the model
  Ariel & Trisha would be added.
  This model is needed for the playmode so it would crash if its not there. Now this 3rd model is already created on startup when the collection info is obtained from the models.lst.

I found the problem.
The error occurs if you have duo shows in your playlist and you aren't loading the playlist into the toolbox first and starting it from there.
I already implemented a fix for this problem and will release an update with it tomorrow.

Download on One computer, then Copy from that computer to the other one.

Then on the other one, you would need to run the Rebuild All, so it sees the new cards.

That is what I used to do. The new machinery will be using the same member account.

So I will try to do the same again referring to the backing up my models instructions. No point downloading everything twice if a simple rebuild is all it takes to verify the cards belong to me.

I won't be attempting a single shared network folder. The notebook will have them stored on an external HDD. So I could simply plug that into the desktop to copy them across to A N Other folder there when the fresh downloads have finished.

Unless you have a Shared Network Folder.. where both computers can access the same Models folders.
on two different computers you would need a seperate set of Models folders.

But you Could....

Download on One computer, then Copy from that computer to the other one.

But even with a shared Network folder, you still need to run the rebuild all so the other computer can See the new cards.

( Each Computer must be using the Exact same Totem Member account, and Must have it's Own set of Data Folders )

En fait, j'ai refait une seconde version avec correction d'un petit beug et un petit lifting sur le plan esthéque.
J'ai chioisi de mettre les infos en anglais pour toucher un plus large public mais je suis une grosse bille en anglais donc si tu veux me filer un coup de main sur les traductions, ça sera avec plaisir. Surtout, que je travaille déjà sur une 3 éme version. (au cas où je la sorts).

Par contre, j'ai pas fait attention qu'il y a vait un forum français et anglais malgré avoir vu des drapeaux au niveau des sujets.

I bought this card as a "3K" resolution card. I only run cards in this resolution since they came out. I don't want the low res versions anymore.
