Rex said when they stopped the status of free cards when we reached the VIP membership that it was no longer profitable for them.
Because these (new) members with VIP status were so many free cards to download it gave them no desire to buy new.
So Totem was losing and it's not worth to hope that it will come back.

Not Sure why the OP has brought this up as being associated with iStripper.
The Change over from VIP to Diamonds took place long ago....
It's a Positive Change and Members have better benefits now, than they did before.

So perhaps, the OP is just looking to stir the POT, with all his Negativity...

Looking at the big picture............

While we may not like all the changes Totem has made in transitioning from VirtuaGirl to iStripper, I think we want Totem to stay in business. Totem has to make changes in it's business model when needed. If a particular program is not successful, changes must be made. The VIP cards & subscriptions were losing money for Totem, so those programs had to come to an end. There was much ***** in how it was done, but it was done & we moved on from it. Most of the triple diamond members probably were subscription members but I was not one of them. Got there the old fashion way, 50 credits at a time. I made the switch to iStripper at the first Alpha, haven't looked back. Went through the growing ***** with everybody in the program.

Now the next update of iStripper is coming shortly, with skins & multiple storage options, with favorites & other features coming back soon. Totem is listening & is tweaking the software when possible.

Patience is needed as Totem will make the changes & adjustments needed to make iStripper better, dare I even say better than VirtuaGirl. We WILL get there folks.........Just give it time......I know I want to continue to see beautiful women dancing, stripping, getting naked & naughty on my desktop !!!!

The old VIP cards were losing money for Totem. Totally free, once in a while for VIP members, (with 300+ cards).

The old subscription service was losing MAJOR money for Totem. They were practically GIVING all of the cards away to subs members. I'm betting a large percentage of triple diamond members were on subs.

Totem have almost, dare I say, gone out of business a couple of times over the years. Who wants that???

Thanks to the Team and Management's drive to keep it all going, we are ALL still in business with the girls :)

I understand that we are not all cut out to run a profitable business but if Totem had listened to all of the complaints and acted in favour of all the naysayers a couple of years ago... Well I guarantee that you would not be reading this right now because Totem would not exist anymore. No girls. No website you can post on.

I've only seen 'RESOLUTION' and 'UPDATE' displayed there previously. 'NEW FORMAT' appeared on a1510 Mia Sollis - High Maintenance.

It's not on every clip, the brief 'come and buy me' action was introduced as part of a deal with a Partner from what I recall seeing posted by Rex in the forum for at least one non-nude preview clip per card.

Right, I don't even understand the point of it lol. On one of Valentina Nappi's cards, she looks like a mix of really bored and really annoyed when she does that, it ***** the mood completely. I don't think it's listed in the clips either, otherwise I would have turned it off already.

The VIP stuff has been replaced with user levels. These are poorly documented in the User Manual (Totem, please look at this.) You can see the whole story by clicking on the question mark as I did in my screenshot. A Information box appears. You can then click on each of the levels to see what benefits it gets. You are Triple Diamond which is the highest current level.

Fixed itself, it switched to normal right in front of my eyes.

Back in the hayday of mainframes IBM found it was inserting something like 1.07 new defects for every defect it removed from OS 360 and they couldn't stop because the know defects had to be removed. I'm not sure where I saw this statistic. It may have been in the Mythical Man-Month or one of Gerry Weinberg's books.

About programmers I could write a book or even two... ;)

I made good money for about a decade simply translating end users (customers) wishes into GUI I designed plus structure and list of things to do for me and back list of can do/cannot be done cheap/fast. And I met programmers coding in the way even I could modify with ease later and others that if I would show you examples you wouldn't... It is usually seen how somebody makes notes. One is scratching everything all over the page one on another in all directions that he will (maybe) be the one to decipher it and the other will note it properly.

Code poets are making very good quality coding even in hurry because it is a habit for them (or as very high class programmer told me 20 yars ago - it is not paying well not to do it - it is necessity in large projects when dozens or hundreds of people collaborate), They are aware if they will make it messy they will loose more time to add some modifications than to write everything from the scratch.
I know that times are different. Everything must be faster. So it is - you are testing it for yourself everyday using Vista/7/8/10 when they shifted from programming in C++ (very good compiled apps with usually low hardware reqs) into .Net and other even worse interpreted (but fast) soilutions like C#. That is main reason why nowadays most aof pps is so memory and processor hungry - your PC is actually doing live interpretation of code which costs like hell - then you have usually couple of those special platforms (enviroments) - JAVA, .Net, Silverlight, C#, VBS - each of them were used in the past for some small apps not such large projects like nowadays simply because new generation of programmers never had to worry about every signle kB or RAM, they just write and compile and use fancy tools to evaluate if it's OK or not. The you open your new printer box and see driver having 200 MB + 1 GB of garbage added instead of 5-20 MB of whats really necessary...

As Emu said - not every error is really an error. Maybe I do not totally agree with his exact point of view on this matter then I cannot say there is no logic in showing warning "No Internet connection" instead of showing program error code which usually is error class more like windows exception code on blue screen of death and reason to really worry...

Error would be actually with Internet connection OK if iS wouldn't be able to log you on iS server.
But iS is showing me error almost every time I am browsing this forum because the time preset in software to make the connection is to short for my mobile - LTE access for example.

I know how to ***** and drop girls to position them but for some reason the next performer that replaces that particular does not always appear in the same position.

Sometimes they will be off the edge of the screen or directly over another girl if I have three shows playing. That is why I presently generally stick to two performers. The clips are a maximum 720p download resolution, playing at 30% size and the affected notebook screen is 1366x768. OS is Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit (June 2016 roll up applied) and GPU is Intel HD 4000 integrated into the i3-3110M.

Any tips to make the show's positions static? I've also tried 3rd party utilities to keep them on top but sometimes one show starts playing behind the active window while the other two still appear in front :S

I am kind of old fashioned when it comes to my stripper beefcake. I would love to see some cops and cowboy strippers and all that classic costume gimmicky goodness. lol They had them on the original VirtuaGay site from many many moons ago and it was hot. Back in the days of "Brad" (I still miss that one LOL).

Really no way to have it working as it should... I even proposde a special conetext menu opened when you click play to select one of current shows to replace and on which screen it should appear :/

There's nothing you can do. This bug has been around since they first started the interactive clips mess. Way before istripper. It rarely works as it should. Progressive hotness or the playing of all the girls clips before going the next girl dosen't even work correctly in that mode. I suggest useing the scenes function for multiple girls, it's the only mode that works near perfectly. Plus you can make the girls any size you want if you know how to make your own scenes or you can download other fine members scenes.

It's not a question of programmers being lazy by using ERROR 401 or ERROR 400 for example. The fact is whatever they write in has to be translated easily, more importantly the user can relay this pertinent information to the support Team to expedite the resolution of Technical Issues.

To address issue of the URL, personally, I think "gay" is appropriate enough, even though straight and bi women use it. The later cards contain full blown sex scenes after all, and they are all between two men.

The problem is that VirtuaGuy did not make money, it was actually a loss making venture for Totem, even after repeated attempts to revive it.  That meant bring in a number of high profile gay individuals.

Secondly, the VirtuaGuy community was a fairly feral crowd with little respect for the T & C's of the forum.

A good female friend of mine tried to moderate there and was driven off, we tried to encourage gay members to moderate and one such person resigned as moderator after a while and yes I did support him, even though I am not gay.

Finally, just a little pointer, your avatar is a 100% breach of the T & C's of the community and if you were a regular poster in VirtuaGirls, DeskBabes or iStripper, it would have been hidden long ago.  The fact that you have it still is a result of the moderaters, to some extent gave up on trying to bring some semblance of order to the VirtuaGuy forum

CyberVixen has been a friend to me as well and I was always on her's and Totem's side in the VirtuaGuy forums. I even bought VirtuaGuy cards that I never wanted and never use because still wanted to contribute to supporting VirtuaGuy (and thus Totem for as long as they kept updating VirtuaGuy).

Programmers, or as I like to call them (after a former mod, gave me the term) code poets are people just like the rest of us.

They have a job to do and depending on who they work for, have a degree of freedom as to how much they can improvise.

You have three cards of the VirtuaGirl Classic (480p) in your collection. I think that all cards have this banner.

You need 100 cards and more to play this cards. Only possible for platinum members and higher.

If you see the extension ".jpg" then rename the card image from a1372c.jpg to a1372_custom.jpg

If you NOT see the extension ".jpg" then rename the card image from a1372c to a1372_custom

Do your cards actually play?
Do they show up as blank (no pictures) in the my collection?
Do you have original card pics or use alternate card pics for these cards?
If yes to all three, then you can change the picture and make it visible.
Each picture will end in c.jpg. Change each picture so they all end in _custom.jpg.
For example, one picture of Priscilia Jones would be this: a1372_custom.jpg.
(if your computer does not show the jpg, do not add it, or you will have the extension twice)

Divine (Dovile), Miss Roxx, Alizee, Priscilia Jones, and Camilla have been removed from the website for varying reasons. Two of them may still allow downloads. I don't get the point of changing from single colour purple to single colour blue though after they have already prepared logo-less purple cards. It seems an odd decision but I'm sure Totem have their reasons
