For the primary purpose of the program using a GUI app is essential - it is used as a combination of diff and an editor to show changes between versions of collections of files and to allow selective merging of changes. There are unix/linux programs that provide similar functionality but none that I have seen have been anything like as useful. At work we primarily use linux, but the files are also visible from our Windows machines - we tend to use Beyond Compare on the windows machines to operate on our source files even though almost eveything else is done on the linux side.

Windows has its own built in backup facility, there is no need even to "pack that Information into a Shellscript, make it executable", you just tell it once what to backup, where to back it up to and then forget about it until you want to recover something.

once the origin and destination paths have been determined,
you pack that Information into a Shellscript, make it executable, and you are good to go.

And I try to do as little as possible with a GUI-App,
this is a lot more convenient for my personal Workflow.

Rsync does exactly the same including a Backup for your Data,
but anyway i only wanted to share my experience.

If you ask me, EVERYTHING should go back to red, it is much easier to differentiate. Due to the repeated false markings, it is only useless chaos. Not to mention the creepy AllCaps font for the title.

Some triple X cards have a red shielded iS in the upper lefthand corner with XXX and other's just XXX under the iS. The Question, is there a difference in the shows?
The red shield makes the triple X cards easier to spot.
(Note: I did a search in the Forum and user's manual and could not find any info. on this point.)

Another Yes vote here, for Shadow Mode (with ability to change colors) like we had a few years ago.

There's a transparency setting in the software now, which not being the same thing is similar to what you may be looking for.

I use the same strategy as @muttonjeff (plus a second external drive as a backup of the first).

I also backup iStripper's vghd folder and subfolders to the same pair of external drives so that they each have everything on them.

Rather than use Window's explorer to do the copying I use a file and directory comparison program called Beyond Compare which I find invaluable for this sort of thing. It is one of a small number of utility programs that I would not be without. It provides a very convenient way to see what is new, what has changed and what has disappeared, just what any any of the changes are, and then gives me ways to copy the new versions or revert to the old at any level of detail I want - from the whole of a disk down to a single line in a text file.

you can also use multiple drives. iStripper supports multiple locations.
I have my collection on a 4Tb usb G: drive but also my favorites on my C: drive for when usb is not connected

As a precaution, i always copy files to the new drive, point the software to the new folder and confirm all is working before deleting the original location

I know in settings you can set an alternate storage folder, I would like to move my content to a new drive, but I have like 100GB worth of shows, can I just move the existing folder and point to it in the program? I would prefer to not have to redownload all those cards.

I'm updating my Playlist Generator. While doing that I noticed that I'm starting by 8th year as a customer. I made my first (35) purchases on April Fool's Day 2013. Here is a count of my purchases by month since then. Some of my more recent "purchases" were cards I didn't want the I "won" playing a game. I'm really trying to cut back on that. Other bumps were when there was a 4th card free offer.

Personally, I am working from home.... (not now, but soon).... because of the shelter at home.

The number of people working at home has increased, and we are filling up the internet. Too many people on my street are all working at once. Our speeds have dropped quite a bit.

go to a search engine (google) and type in internet speed. you can see if it is the internet, or your computer.

Due to the server issues today and yesterday, it is possible that there are plenty of people currently downloading (some of) their cards, which could very well explain temporary slowness of servers.

I myself downloaded both of the cards released today a couple of hours ago, and they downloaded relatively quickly.
