All of this discussion about the exact meaning of the word "talent" is ignoring that the the phrase in question has been chosen by non-native speakers of English (albeit fluent ones). There may be subtle differences in the way the word is used in French, differences that would be of a similar degree to the fine differences of meaning in English thereby making it pointless to try to distinguish between them.

It's been a LONG while since we got discounts on individual shows and not just the random luck TGIF deals. Does anyone know if those will make a return?

I ask because THAT is when I spend my money on adding credits to my account and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Christmas is on a Friday this year, so that would be the perfect time to offer such a discount.

So just vote (or not) for the model that pushes YOUR buttons more than any other in the list. Doesn't matter what her skills (or lack of) are.

Of course talent is a word long used to represent a performer in entertainment but comes from an understanding that the industry requires a certain level of specific "talents". It is arguable if natural beauty is a talent and there are hundreds of shows of beautiful girls lacking entertainment value. Totem couls have easily used model of the year, or beauty of the year, but they chose talent...and they and customers do make distinctions between run of the mill posers and actual performers. The product relies on talent to sustain itself and encourage new customers considering its high price. I never understood this relativism that the girls don't matter, and to each his/her own. The product would not exist if totem didn't bring in the hottest, sexiest, most talented girls they could find. In fact, the totem customer base might be the most picky I've seen in the erotica universe.

As one of the people who create the more in depth reviews (alongside such luminaries as @zzmaskers and @pantalone) I can tell you that there are two problems with creating in depth reviews.

Firstly - time. We have to watch each show in full making our notes and it is very time consuming so we have to pick and choose when we do reviews and sadly cannot cover all releases. I am a QA reviewer and spend 1-2 hours technically reviewing each show. To then do a quality review to attach to the show will take me another hour as I have to change my mindset and re-watch the show from an "enjoyment" perspective - and I still have to go to work, eat and sleep! 😎

Secondly - this is a personal view - with the way the comments sections were ***** by people chasing the Hall Of Fame laurels and the propensity of so many to post a simple two/three word comment - it is disillusioning and it makes us wonder why we bother. 😰

I've not given up - but I am more selective these days on when I make my reviews - you will see a couple coming soon in my "Pickle's Favourite Shows" thread.

Personally my fave reviews are the ones that allude to the specifics of the show, details which perhaps totem should add to the card bio?

I tend to find these details help me understand the show before I purchase and allow me to make less of an error. I then look to the personal reviews to how the girls seem to come across, are they smiling lots, do they have energy, is she dull but have a redeeming pole dance that makes up for it?

So in a way, Yes we do get to help decide.

I think @celine really wants the most popular girl of the year...not necessarily the most talented. Anastasia is the most gifted performer, and is a true professional. Why Tina is NOT on the list, I don't know. She might not have won talent of a given month, but she is my pic for talent of the year.

It's a fact all missing Saturday cards were always already loaded on iS servers (since all Calendar users had even been able to download them on Friday); so, I might be wrong but I would think that - if an automatic release fails - it might also be easy and fast for a Team member whatsoever doing a manual general release even from remote; therefore, I was sort of surprised people which are not suscribed to Calendar promo had to wait the following Monday on all weekends of december.
Indeed, since this issue is, by now, known to happen on every saturday of the promo, it looks almost strange no one did plan in advance to get it fixed manually on each Saturday morning - neither prior neither after users did report it.

Lets go back to 7 releases during the work week, and do the same during calendars. A person can simply choose not to open their advent release until Saturday or Sunday.

If anyway if would be not possible to get a fix about releases during weekends (as it looked not to be), this one could be a solution, yes.

Not being able to provide customer service on the weekend, while repeatedly not releasing cards, or having cards unable to be downloaded creates stress and *****. I understand the promotion is almost over, and a patient person will simply wait it out, but inevitably people are waiting or skipping refills or card buying because cards aren't being released on time. Or dedicate someone to fixing issues on the weekend.

For me, some of them didn't deserved to be talent of the month.
It would have been dificult to choose between, Tina, Stacy, Melena, Eva Elfie, Belka, Cara Mell, but even if I like Ellie Leen, Carolina Abril, Eve Sweet, and Cara a lot, Belka is definitevly over the top.

Sorry, I've been off line for the past 19 hours.

I think your problem has to do with internationalization/localization in Microsoft applications. You seem to be using German as you language. I can't read German, but I suspect the error message is telling you that True is an undefined variable. Is that correct? If not, could you please translate that message into English for me?

If that's it, I think that when Windows is set for German the English constant "True" in Visual Basic is not recognized. Try replacing it with the German word for True and let me know if that works. An alternative would be to put True in quotes "True" if you do that it will be processed by the SQL interpreter which might not have a language problem. Another thing that would probably work is to replace True with "1=1" which the SQL interpreter will resolve as True.

If the above works, True will need to be replaced in many locations, but not when it is part of an SQL expression. This will not be easy. However, just replacing every ".FindFirst True" and ".FindNext True" will probably be enough and can be done as a global search and replace.



This is a problem that I think I've seen before, but never been able to pin down. See my Sept 10 message in the following thread.
