This might make more appeal if placed in the context and conjuction of being able to storage on different places, as mentioned elsewhere before.
Scripts can be nice, but 3rd party tools are usually not recommended, especially if future changes can make it work in ways as not intended and by people who might know too little about what it does besides what it is supposed to do, it doesn't have to be rocket science but it would be nice to be monkey proof by anyone who uses it now or in the future with all sorts of different releases of VG in common sense for a 3rd party tool, an official implementation would be recommended as my personal preference.
For models directory, a directory for owned cards and a directory for not owned carousel trailers, against doubling trailers both in owned and not owned cards.
For data directory, similar owned and not owned split of data, presumably placed seperate if chosen to move models directory? Else one might combine data and models information?
This might make purging cache data of carousel data easier to oversee the storage space it takes in, perhaps a more advanced purge of date downloaded carousel trailers older than a month or per size first in first out (carousel.lst?) as an extra for the cache size limit thought, if chosen as an option.
As mentioned as well, already on the to do list, just sharing my thoughts.
I have no storage issues myself (yet), it would save me an approx 36GB atm of .demos total including owned cards, but I'd rather keep them myself, preferably if something like online girls store and carousel on demand could and would be implemented.
But this in conjunction with being able to storage models directory on one harddrive and carousel trailers on another, or even to place storage of models split on seperate harddrives would be a great asset to have.
