Today it is 10 years since I registered on this product. 14th of December 2007!

I would like to thank the whole Totem team for creating such great software, indispensable in every home and work 😊. I would also like to thank everyone (ok, almost everyone) for the fun time and for their participation in creating this amazing community.

I'm not going anywhere. I will stay here for another 10 years... or more.

Now, to celebrate this anniversary, please give me some gifts. It can by enything:

Darn! I had written a long text but was lost 🔥

Anyhow... not as bad as one of the early updates when the software was still in Alpha... It basically deleted a folder or something and you had to wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows to fix it. Now that's a bug! 😠

When I joined it was still a closed Alpha. Late October or November 2007 Totem started to invite members of the old VG2 to join the open Beta. I guess that's why so many joined so fast.😎

While I was a long time user of VG and MP3 Dancer, I didn't join the forums till March of 2009.
I discovered an Old Backup tape. ( had to find the tape drive on E-bay, and run DOS in a VM to extract it )
And on that tape were some of my Old VG and MP3 Dancer files.
(unfortunately that tape did not have my entire collection on it, Oh what I wouldn't give to recover all the lost VG and MP3 Dancer files. )

I've managed to install them on my Windows 8.1 machine and get them working again..
Tiny Little Dancers in the corner of the Screen.

I also Discovered a feature of MP3 Dancer that All this time Didn't know was there.

I got my VG start when there was a Stripping Santa file that I sent to me Girl Friends.
It also had a link to VG. It was either the mid to late 1990's

I know the team created a bunch of test users in the beginning. I guess Herve kept his original account 👍

For you who doesn't know REX and Herve started the company and released the first version of VirtuaGirl back in 1998. Next year will be 20 years celebration! ❤️😍❤️

Fun fact... the image above is from the very first photo session with the very first model Mandy. It wasn't as high tech back then 😎

That was the Actual Size of the Animations, and that was High Tech in the day..
Look at the Start button and compare it to the Model.. Just about 25mm in Height on your Screen.
Maybe 100 pixels tall

Seeing the Gif's made me break out the old VG program and have some memories...

I remember reading an Interview article.
REX mentioned that He Realized he was a success when his Partner Herve came and told him, they made enough money that they could go out and buy a Helicopter.
Both Rex and Herve became amateur Helicopter pilots.

I hope I got the jest of the article correct.

I still have all the stuff I could get from the VG2 website but I don't have it installed on any machine. I remember the wonder of being able to zoom 200% and make the girls larger 😍

Well I joined this forum in September 2009 from the old SVGF forum that had been going for a great many years and claimed the title of the unofficial Virtuagirl forum.

My earliest recollection (or at least an email I sent was back in April 2003.

I have lots of stuff going back to the VG days, before it became a VGN :)
