@gouzer - That's a big hope but Totem and VGHD have a huge advantage with the girls being able to be rated by the those who have not seen the card. It is a big issue here because it is so unfair. If you look at the initial ratings of the weekly cards, that will tell you a lot. Jenni Gregg's new card started out at 9 or so, while Demi started out at 4 or 6 (6.04 if I remember correctly)and I mean, RIGHT when the card came out. The ratings are really strange but deceptive. It is also strange why some girls seem to be rated vastly higher than others, regardless of whether the card itself is good or not.
For Totem, this is a business though.

Well, I am a feet person but I also like thigh-boots and when the girls are NOT wearing ugly platform shoes.
But for me, that's an added bonus and not really an automatic buy. I don't based my reviews or comments solely on that. I try to help other people with my reviews and try to be objective as possible. My reviews, all of them, are based on overall performance. If you look at my Ennie reviews, I say she does not have a lot of moves (one or two at most) but she does have personality and her looks and flawless body (not a scratch on it) carry her show A LONG WAY.
But, in general, physical attraction to a girl will be the deciding factor more than anything else. I REALLY like Manon but her first show is REALLY awkward because she looked insecure and uncomfortable.

I think I could truthfully answer 1,2,3,6. I try to be objective, but my favorites usually get all 10s, my average rating is somewhere around 7 or 8 and some girls I rate well below 5.

Well, since you and I both have lost our "VGHD virginity" it is kinda too late. lol. I think Totem knows this program is addictive because it is unique and most new users will splurge, buying up all the cards they can afford before Reason kicks in. Then, like a hungover, they wonder what happened. After a few cards, the dullness kicks in, they realize just how much 2 tickets actually is, and they get more selective about the cards they pick.
The special offer cards on the front page is the one ticket offer new users can get. Also, Friday offers new card deals and so most people camp out for the discount on those cards. However, new users will most likely go with the girl they find most attractive.

Ambler - understandable. The fact your ratings vary that much means you are human. I don't think anyone rates objective to a fault. I can honestly say one or two girls get a 10 from me all the time BUT that is because their shows never fail.

"I post my rating on a 6-10... like a 1 to 5 but that way... none get lower then a 6. I've given just one 6 (Ting/Strawberry Time). I've handed out ten 7s and the rest 8s and 9s. I've only given one 10 (Melissa/Whipped Cream) out of 99 cards and I rate all I get and only ones I own.Anyone who gets naked on my computer automatically deserves a 6. Thats just my personal grading system."
I have now given Tereza/Adrenaline a 10 a few days ago.

My grading system:

2 for performance/personality (this can be raised to 3 if the personality outshines everything else)
1 for nudity/explicit.
Negative 5 for looking off camera too much (I ***** that).
Negative 1 for stockings or no nudity.
Negative 2 for bad performance
Negative 7 for NO personality!

I'm good with that system. I watch between 5 and 8 routines and repeat a number in my head (start at 8). If she's doing things I like I ease up or if I don't like it I'll ease down.

lol. I noticed you still don't have Jenni's new card. Waiting for the special or going to break down and buy it? To me, it is not better than Pure Bliss, and at times, there is something strange in the facial expression. I don't want to say Latex Party is a bad card, but it is not by a long shot her best card.

Well, i try to be fair. But there are just too many factors.
Sometimes when i find a card i dislike, i don't know if i'm giving the bad rating to the girl or to the makers. You know, nowadays i often think "Whoa, mammaa!, This girl is gorgeous!!, then the show itself turns to be a big dissapointment. So the 7 points in rating, that is the top rate i think almost all the newer releases deserves, i usually end up rising it a little cause i feel it unfair to the girls. Is really the fault of pretty Gwen, that people are rating her low, or it's on the production staff?
Speaking of, Gwen have a nice collection now, maybe looking for reasons to this weird rankings? She rated herself with a 10, so i think she have her opinion. ;)
If i could rate girls and production separately, most of the girls will be 9-10 and the product wil be 0-7.

Honestly folks...with all the complaints about the ratings system does anyone really care anymore...
If you believe its a business move by Totem, you cant fix it

I voted Option 2. The worst rating i have given is a 5 for Nadine Most cards get a 9 from me (i rate only cards i own and as i never had a subscription i picked the most of them) But not all cards of my favourite girls have a 10 rating from me. Just checked it and i got 22 cards with a 10 rating. Ariel - Search again or Maii - Beijing Student for example only got a 9 from me although they belong to my favorite girls.
But i haven't rated all shows i own (currently i rated 94 cards) because i don't have the time to watch them all long enought to find a good rating.

I voted option 3, although I have given girls less than 5.
I basically vote based on how I feel when the girls appears on my screen. There are many cards that I look forward to seeing or want to see and these cards I vote highly.
on the other hand, cards that I don't like and am very likely to click "Switch to next Model" will attract quite low votes even if I like the girls and the performance is good.
My votes are extremely subject, which I feel is my and everyone else's right.
Most of my votes range from 6 to 8. Which 8s being the ones I really like and perk up when seeing. I tend to quite like 7s and these often are allocated to entertaining shows. There are few nines and as yet no 10s.
Starry's comment that he never votes less than 5 is interesting. I think there is a lot of people who simply will not vote low scores, and that tends to keep the ratings high. By the way, that is not a critcism of voting technique, it is just an observation.

I have a different voting system. First is the outfit, does it match the model and is it sexy. I extremely dislike bikini shows. All girls give off the same vibe in bikinis. Second is the hair. Depending on the girl I like it when it is down. I think its hot when the hair covers most of the face. NUDITY isn't my biggest concern, in fact when the model usually gets towards the part where she's all stripped, I reset the show. But that's just me. And lastly, Does she have sexy moves. Its alright to have a show where she flaunts herself, but I love circular hip movements, if I see that, you automatically get a ten from me. Some examples would be: Miss Roxx and Sandra H.

Looks, and what some people like will vary person to person. I rate depending on what I see them do. 7 nude, but you can't see much. 8 nude and give us a good peek. 9 rubbing. 10 insertion. I am somewhat behind in my rating of the shows.

The rating system is an absolute crock but by the votes, 49% of the people try to at least be fair and objective when rating a girl. This does not mean that of that 49 percent some people do not rate a girl before viewing the show or even purchasing the show. People will rate the way they want to, and until VGHD or Totem disable the rating system to users who have yet to buy the card, the ratings in general is not to be trusted or used as a factor to decide whether or not to buy a card. The rating system works to Totem's advantage because in the end this is a business and at the end of the day, it is about revenue, and not fairness or the people.

I start to laugh, when I see members which vote ostensibly "objectively". Objectivity of any member ALWAYS is in frameworks his tastes. I have not bought any girl, being guided on her a rating. These senseless conversations on a rating have started to anger me and I have refused estimations. My favourite has a low rating, the majority of comments are negative and even are offensive. Really I should listen to opinions of idiots? Really I should look at a rating which is created by the same idiots?

Boorlom - true enough to be objective is not necessarily to be fair and mechanically rate a girl with total disregard of your own tastes. You must have sensed somewhere down the line that I did not mean objectively in the most literal definition. We all have our likes and dislikes that will factor in our rating. As I said, the ratings are pointless altogether.

Boorlom. I concur with you in some points, but i must disagree with others. The ratings are important. Polls like this one reflects the thoughts of a very small part of the universe of total customers of VG, yet doesn't mean it is not representative of a line of thought or conduct followed by thousands. There're just a few possible opinions in any matter: yes, no, undecided and i don't care. Polls are made in every aspect of society to measure the levels of credibility, acceptance or rejection to anything from a strip girl to the elecction of a president. Totem never place a poll or send a survey to see how they're doing, cause they've all this polls and commentaries in their forum to check the pulse of the community. Do you really think your favorite girl didn't came back here because of the ratings or commentaries? Aren't you curious to know why people are rating her so bad? Yeah, cause they are idiots, in your words, but idiots or not have an opinion and it matters, like it or not(;
