CyberVixen, I too would like to see more variety in the photo shoots. There is so much more the photographers could do if they would simply take a little more time with the models, and use a little more of their own imagination and creativity.

I agree there should be some pics that are standard to each set, thinking just in the art makers. We all enjoy the pics no matter if full body or not, so there's really no reason to fail to deliver that stuff, is not as if it was "just" for artists, is for everybody but also not only nice but useful and what's a few useful must-be-included type of pics always? Without artwork this would be just another porn site.

Me is happy nobody at Totem wants to censure pics, keep that spirit with everything. ;)

I think the bigger issue is the repetition thing. Several pics of the same pose from different angles or distances.

Seems like I've posted many comments about the selection of photos. Needing more variety and more photos overall.

The photographers likely take 100's of photos. IMHO....any good photographer will take many pics of the same pose to be sure they get some good pics to choose from. The selection process seems to be the issue. However, if the photographer's preferences come into play, the person(s) doing the selecting could have trouble finding pics they want to include. Especially if they have to work within limits.

I believe that the selection process could be problematic when you're trying to only provide a limited number of bonus photos. Take more pics, add more to the bonus photos. More to choose from, more to provide and the poor selection issue is over.



Providing a separate/additional selection for those that do artwork sounds like an excellent proposal as well.

I personally don't see anything wrong with those pics, some guys prefer to see ass close-up, its their favorite part of a woman. I agree with Gorfa that we should have larger sets, maybe 100 photos or more. I would have nothing against, for example, pics of nothing but feet for the foot-lovers out there. Include a few boob close-ups, a few face pics, and whole body pics too of course. Some people even like pics that showcase a woman's tattoos and I've seen a few of those. Removing the close-ups would be a mistake IMO.

I agree there should not be so many photos with similar content in a row.
I asked the photographers and the people selecting photos to pay attention to that.
As for closups, it's the photographers' style and as long as there is not too many of them, I think it ads diversity.
It's sometimes hard to know when selecting the pictures in the photographer did severall shots because he was unsure he got the good one, or if he wanted to do so. I feel the ones with the panties are interesting even if they are close, I don't see the added value of the ones from the back, one would have been enough (but I understand nobody at Totem wants to censor pics...). Thanks for the lesson of astronomy.

As a creative Designer myself,
I also fail to see the need for such redundant PhotoSets
Sure, Fine, let the Photographer include some artistic shots.
But why 6 to 12 of the exact same thing?
and Not include anything that could be used by Our Community Artists?

Totems Creative Community is only asking for a handful of shots.
I would think that these are almost routine.
If needed, we can post the list of desired shots again..

I don't think it is asking too much. So Many Members enjoy the work created by these, that the Forums and Community wouldn't be the same without them.

Alternate card sets, Desktop Wallpapers, Artistic collages, Action Comic Books, Calendars, just to name a few...

And if these shots are considered as too tame for the released card set, then at least make an alternate set available for our community artists to download.

You exactly caught what I meant: this is all about astronomy :)

Now more seriously, I do appreciate your talents in Computer Graphics design and as you already raised many times, strange camera angles or perspective, too close shots are not very useful to produce artworks.

However since some people appreciate these, to please everyone I think we should have a bit larger sets so that there are many different styles of pictures.

Without ruining the creativity of the photographers, we could imagine to define with totem some keys shots (some angles, positions, with clothes, nudes...) That would be the core set. Then photographers can also add their own creative shots.

Like you said now this is up to Rex to give us his feedback.
