Some observations and suggestions regarding iStripper

iStripper and VGHD before it both work perfectly well offline but only iStripper reports it to the user as an error. If I was starting from scratch I would include a proper offline mode, but unless the code is aleady structured as if there was one then all I am asking for now is that the message presented to the user is not a "scary" error message but a gentle reminder that it can't do something because it it offline. Believe it or not there are some people, such as my sister yesterday (not for iStripper) who see an error message and ***** because they think it means that either the software is broken or that they have done something wrong. The particular case that triggered this discussion is the display of comments - this results in an error being displayed WITHOUT the user pressing the "comments" button because it is the default panel to be displayed when looking at a cards details.

There is also another case to consider in support of a true offline mode. There may be occassions were it is reasonble to run iStripper but the only network access is one that you would not want to have connections to an iStripper server visible to the network access provider - a proper stealth mode rather than just hiding the iStripper icon that I have seen discussed elsewhere in the forum. Currently users can simply disable all network access, but that affects anything else they may want to do at the same time.

Some observations and suggestions regarding iStripper

And here are the missing points 12 to 15

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12) Extra information for the main details panel.

Please add the following information to the main details panel for a card

a) Total number of clips for the card.
b) Number of clips that are available localy.
c) Number of clips that are currently enabled.
d) The maximum hotness level.
e) Dates of production and when acquired

All except the last are available via the clip list panel (but may require scrolling down to the end of the list and some mental arithmetic), but it would be convenient to have a summary on the main details panel.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13) Clip numbering is *****.

The clip numbering on the clip list panel is *****. From top to bottom the clips appear always to be sorted in order of increasing "hotness" with other factors used as secondary sort keys. For some cards the clip numbering, from top to bottom, is simply 1,2,3,4..., reflecting the sort order, but quite often one or two of the numbers are out of order - and for some cards they are wildly out of order.

For example when I checked card f0140 / Sybil / Animalistic the order was 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and for card f0133 / Nekane / Sexy Silhouette the order was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 6, 8, 9, 13. I have seen worse examples than these.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14) Show clip numbers in "Now playing".

Could you please add a one or two line list of clip numbers to each of the "Now Playing", "Next" and "History" items on the "Now Playing" panel. This list would occupy waht seems to be two or three lines of unused space in for each displayed card in these list.

By using different colours (e.g. black, green, grey) to refect which clips have been played, which is is currently playing and which hav not yet been played then the row of numbers would provide an overall progress indicator for the current card. There could also be a progress bar for the current clip.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15) Clip filenames and sizes clutter the clip list panel.

Most of the time the clip filenames and sizes shown on the clip list panel are not of any interrest. They both clutter it up and often cause the list to be too long to fit on the screen thereby requiring scrolling to see the end of the list. It would be preferable to have this information only displayed if it is requested.

The "accessories" and "in out" (and any other) indicators belong on the first line, with the clip description, not with the filename as they are now.

The only uses of the clip filenames that I can think of is to allow a user to manualy delete unwanted clips or for a user to let Totem know that a particular clip has problems, though there are probably other uses as well. To support such actions it should be possible to determine the filename for a clip, e.g. via a "show clip details" option or by hovering the mouse pointer over an entry in the clip list, but this does not require always displaying it.

@Dorsai6

Thanks for pointing out the missing and duplicated posts, I don't know how I screwed that up.

Here is what should have been the first post.

On the whole I like the new user interface, it was only the poor support for large collections of full screen scenes that stopped me from switching to it much earlier.
My congratulations to the team responsible.

While using it I have made notes of a number of observations and suggestions which I am now posting. These notes are in no particular order and cover a large range of toptics. They apply to iStripper running on a Windows 10 system.

Because of the limit on the size of individual postings I have split the notes into a number of separate posts.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Effects of clicking at the top of the iStripper window.

iStripper does not have a separate title bar but, in effect, combines the normal Windows title, menu and tool bars into a single strip at the top of the window. If a normal window is almost obscured by other windows leaving only its top visible then clicking on its title bar anywhere other than one the four standard icons near its corners will bring it to the front and allow it to be ***** to a new position on the screen. Attempting to do the same with an iStripper window will almost always change its active tab requiring up to four further clicks (my collection, the previously selected card, the clip list icon and its scroll bar) to get back to the previous window state.

There are two problems with this behaviour of the iStripper window

1) Users need to remember that iStripper windows behave differently, and in a less convenient way, to other windows.

2) Recovery fom accidently clicking near the top of the window can require several mouse movements and clicks.

Both of these are annoying, though the first would be ***** if recovery could always be achieved with a single click.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) No "Backward" or "Forward" navigation arrows.

When viewing the details for a card I quite often want to switch to some other tab, such as that for Settings, and then back. Currently this requires going back to the main "My Collection" tab, finding the right card (which will not be highlighed in any way unless it just happens to be "Now Playing"), reselecting the card and reselecting the particular set of details that was previously being looked at (in my case normaly the clip list). This requires a lot of clicks to do the equivalent of what a web or file browser can do with one click on a "back" button.

A pair of arrows that allow forward and backward navigation through the recent browsing history would be very welcome.

#24 Please understand the software first tries to log on and then detects if there is no network for itself not the other way around... ;)

#7 It wouldn't solve the problem this way simply because if there is for example 6 shows in small size this way it wouldn't even allow you to have same time strip and xxx cards on. They should remap the levels again (lots of work) or my solution - to loose a bit the algorithm controlling levels on multiple cards played same time just to check on min. level available and allowed by user setup in settings.
And it is very annoying I totally agree...

About the memory:
From programmers point of view: GPU uses main RAM by PCIex or AGP connector (this is the reason why those are so fast in comparison to other connectors and why AGP was changed to PCIex). It can actually use as much as posiible (or allowed by BIOS setting).
And since my GPU has 2 GB of RAM plus it can have up to almost 6 GB from main RAM (tested on super heavy animation when I purchased this PC) not really a problem in my case.
More to this - GPU RAM is usually used for so called texturing (for games) and frame buffer (in our case important for smoothness of playback). If what you say would be true then there wouldn't be a way to run iS on old notebooks with 128 MB of ram or a bit more but it is running. Main video content is usually buffered to main RAM memory and just a small part of every movie played to feed up the frame buffer. You rarely need to load it up all especially considering that every frame would take couple of times its size on HDD because it is being uncompressed and even then it is rewritten into other format for GPU which also takes some RAM again.

I seen some posts here with computers having about ten years or intel atom based and they are running iS (with some limitations)

With regard to #30 - it should certainly be an option that needs to be enabled (which is why I said "Optionaly increase the apparent thickness of the Windows task bar"). I would rarely use it, but I know of users who have said that they do increase their task bar width for just this reason.

With regard to #24 - I know that its trying to log me in, my point is that if no network is available it shouldn't even try to do that, and if it does it should not log it as if it was an error made by the user. Its a common failing in all sorts of software that if some internal operation fails it gets reported as a error and no distinction is made between not being able to do some internal thing and not being able to do something that the user explicitly asked for.

With regard to #7. The problem is that the levels of erotisism are different for the iStripper and and iStripperXXX but that both are mapped onto the same limited set of numeric codes. There are (probably) good historic reasons for this but it is somewhat annoying at the user level. Things would be much clearer if the names displayed for each numeric code took the iStripper/iStripperXXX distinction into account. As different first characters are used for the iStripper and iStripperXXX card names this should be easy to do.

With respect to the "not enough memory" messages, I think these may relate to the GPU card's so called texture memory, not the CPU's RAM, which may make 2proper memory management" difficult.

38) "Blank" cards on the "My collection" panel.

On the "My collection" panel some cards, namely those which Totem can no longer sell such as those for Alizee or Miss Roxx, are displayed either as blank or with just the outline of a girl's head and shoulders. The reasons for not showing the actual girl are well understood by me but until you check what card it is, and even then only if you know the reason, it looks like an error - especialy those cards that are completely blank. Some sort of more informative text such as "no longer available from Totem" on the card, or perhaps a longer pop-up message when the mouse is hovering over one, would be appreciated.

It would also be appreciated if these cards did not automatically match any filter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

39) Provide a higher level "Models" view of "My collection"

Currently the "My collection" panel shows the collection at the level of individual cards. For large collections it would be convenient if this could optionaly be changed so that each model was represented by a single image. This would greatly reduce the "visual search space" required to browse the collection.

Each of the model images could then offer the option to "open" it to see the cards for that model - which would be like the current "My collection" view with only the cards for that model shown. It should be possible to select multiple models models and open them all at the same time.

35) Associating particular music with a card

It would be nice to be able to associate a particular piece of music with a card, e.g. to play "Hello Eileen" when one of Eileen's cards starts or "In the Navy" with any of the cards featuring naval costumes. This should probably only affect the first piece of music played for a card.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

36) Problem after performing an offline installation.

I recently downloaded the latest version of iStripper and later, in a different physical location, ran the setup program without being online. All seemed to be well except that when I clicked on the fullscreen icon all my scenes had disappeared and all I saw was a message saying that the scenes would be downloaded - but as I was offline this was never going to happen.

Fortunately I keep a backup of the iStripper directories and was able to determine that a single "_downloaded" file was missing. I restored this and all was well. I had seen this before so it was not a problem for me this time, but I was somewhat worried the first time and no doubt it would worry a more naive user.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

37) Display of current downloads

Having been away for a few weeks I recently started to download a number of newly purchased cards and card updates. On clicking the "downloads arrow" to see their progresss I found that the active downloads were in somewhere in the middle of the list making it hard to find them. Can you please keep the active downloads at the top of the list so that the user can see them immediately rather than having to hunt for them.

Also, when the download for a card is shown as "Completed" it would be convenient if it was possible to go directly from the downloads display to that clip in "My collection". It would also be helpfull if the cards marked "Completed" did not automatically disappear from the downloads list when you look at something else.

In fact I would appreciate a semi-permanent list of recent downloads that could be used to systematicaly work my way through my recent bulk acquisitions and updates. It should be possible to clear the list and remove individual items from it. It could be an automatically maintained playlist.

Oddly, when downloading a bunch of photo zips the display behaves much more closely to how I would like it to behave for the cards - the entries in the list do not disappear when I go and look at something else. It would be nice if there were "go to zip file location" and "open zip file" options avaibable from the download list.

32) Viewing forum posts.

Due to infrequent internet access for this last month I have hardly looked at the Stripper forums. However, one thing immediately springs to mind is that when viewing the forums via a web browser my normal habit was to open a top level view in one tab and open individual posts from it in their own tabs. Providing a similar capability in the iStripper user interface would be a welcome addition. I am aware that I can still use the web site to browse the forums, so this is a very ***** point.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

33) Card rating system.

The simple 0-5 star (or the older 0-10 points) rating system has two problems.

Firstly, almost all final scores in a very narrow range, somewhere between 4 and 5 stars or 9 to 10 points. Such a small effective range at one the end of a rather larger range is indicative of a measurement problem which theorectically could be reduced by using a non-linear scale - but in practice this would be an over complication (unless someone wants to do some scientifc analysis, in which case they ought to be able to do it themselves).

Secondly, and somewhat more important, just showing the average score throws away useful information. Consider two cards which have recieved the following votes for points out of 10

Card A : 9 for 9 points, 1 for 10 points
Card B : 9 for 10 points, 1 for 1 point

both have an average score of 9.1, but in one case almost all votes are for the maximum possible and in the other almost all votes are for what is the lower end of the "normal range". The overall opinions of those voting for these cards were very different, but this is not reflected in the final result. It may be noted that when Amazon, for example, present customers's rating for their products they do not just provide an average but show how many votes there were for each of the 0 to 5 star levels. It would be better to use a similar system (perhaps as a "detailed view" pop-up to avoid clutter), but that would only be possible if the data to do so is available.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

34) List of available music

I do not make a large collection of music available to iStripper, but if I did the current way of presenting it would be rather inconvenient. It would be better if it was possible to add whole directories and to show these drectories in the music tab rather than just having a single directory of individual files.

If this was implemented it should be possible to enable or disable whole directories of music files.

Music playlists might also be considered.

I haven't checked if it is still the case but at one point I had my music collection on an external disk. Adding music files to VGHD's created shortcuts which was fine as long as the external disk was plugged in, but starting the program without the external disk being available resulted in the shortcuts being deleted - which was very annoying. I now have a larger internal disk than I had then so I moved my music collection and no longer have the problem, but please ensure that music shortcuts are not cleaned up if they are for files on external disks.

30) Optionaly increase the apparent thickness of the Windows task bar.

Some users prefer to use a thicker than normal Windows task bar when running iStripper so that when a girl sits on it the full length of her legs are visible. However this affects look of the task bar itself as the icons on it rearrange themselves when its size is changed. It would be better if iStripper itself could optionaly increase the apparent thickness of the task bar by displaying a rectangle with same colour and transparancy as the task bar (or possibly some other colour) on top of or behind the task bar. This would also allow the task bar to be moved to the side or top of the screen, which Windows allows, but which currently somewhat spoils iStripper's presentation by having the girls sit on the bottom of the screen.

Alternatively the option to use something other than the task bar as the base on which the girls stand or sit could be provided. This would just be a simple rectangular image displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Also, I have noticed that for some clips there is a slight gap between the task bar and the model's feet (or hand or body when lying down). I never really noticed this with previous versions of the software, but I often see it now when I run the iStripper interface at its maximum size. The increased visbility of the gap seems to be due to the iStripper window being white making any gap more obvious than before when I was seeing it against a darker background. Its not really a problem, but for some clips the effect is quite pronounced and looks somewhat disconcerting. I think the camera position may have been slightly too high for these clips allowing the surface of the table to be seen. The effect could probably be reduced by adding a thin strip, in the colour of the task bar, on top of the task bar but not taking it into account when positioning the clip.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31) Data download folders.

The Settings panel currently allows the user to specify which folder is to hold the vghd clips. On the iStripper interface this is called the Data folder, which is slightly ***** as it does not affect the folder called data only its models subfolder - which itself has a slightly ***** name as it is a "clips" folder. It would be better if the names of the folders and any references to them in the iStripper user interface were both consistant and properly described what they are used for, but its too late to change now.

Currently downloading picture sets or videos will put the downloaded files in the user's general download folder. It would be better if users could designate specific folders to receive these files, just as they can for the main clips data folder.

It would also be nice if the software kept track of which picture sets had been downloaded so that it is not necessary to manualy check which ones I have and which I need to get.

26) Clicking on an arrowhead on a carousel has no effect.

The various carousels accessable via the "Features" tab use a broad stripe with arrow heads at each end as a base. To me this looked as if the arrow heads provided the means by which the carousel could be rotated. However, clicking on them has no effect. It would be more intuitive if clicking on either arrow head caused the carousel to rotate by one position.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

27) User defined "carousels".

The "Features" tab provides access to a number of standard carousels - releases, popular, blondes etc. I would appreciate being able to define my own set of carousels which would be available via a "My carousels" tab. These could be based on the new (or old) playlist capability.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

28) Provide a way to spin a carousel.

As a fun feature perhaps you could provide way to spin a carousel to select one of its occupants at random when it slows down and stops. You can sort of do this by holding down an arrow key, but it would be nicer to spin the wheel, watch it slow down and automaticly play whichever card ended up in the front slot.

Alternatively a slow continuous "merry-go-round" could be used to present the girls.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

29) User defined card and clip attributes.

I would like to be able to add my own observations to cards and, to a lesser extent, to individual clips.

For clips just the ability to add a short (one line) description or set of single word tags would suffice. These could optionaly be shown when a card's clip list is displayed.

For cards more complex observations could be accomodated - including free form text and a list of tags. I would also like to be able to use tick boxes and pop-up menus rather than a simple list of tags as these can avoid problems due to variations in spelling of tags, but that might be taking things to far.

Perhaps some system of "heirarchical tags" could be supported where tags - e.g. Stockings.Black, Stockings.White, Stockings.Fishnet, Stockings.Seamed could be used to automatically group sets of related tags.

Being able to use any user defined tags to filter the card selection would be a nice feature.

23) Insufficiant information in some iStripper log messages.

I often find that essential information is missing in the iStripper log messages, for example the messages

WARNING[libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile]
WARNING[libpng warning: iCCP: cHRM chunk does not match sRGB]

give no help in finding which image files they apply to, and

fullscreen WARNING[Unknown curve "pingpong" for node ""]
fullscreen WARNING[Unknown filter: ""]
fullscreen WARNING[Unknown node property "ambient"]

do not identify which .scn files contained the errors. It is hard enough to locate the problems when you know that only a handfull of cards or scenes have been played but it is almost impossible when both the cards and the scenes are selected at random from large collections.

Please ensure that whenever a warning or error message is logged that there is sufficient information in the message itself, or in an accompanying message, to locate the cause of the trouble or at least what clip, image or scene is involved.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

24) iStripper attempts to use internet even when no connection is possible.

Like many programs iStripper basicaly assumes that a network connection is available and tries to use it even if no connections are possible (no cable connected, WIFI turned off, flight mode enabled). The main effect of this are many essentialy spurious warning messages in the vghd.log file cluttering it up and making real problems harder to spot. However this is normaly not seen by the user, except perhaps as a delay for some operations, so it is only a rather ***** annoyance.

Rather more visible is that the result of clicking on any of the Comments, Photos or Videos tabs in the card details panel is that an error message is displayed even though, for the user, there is no error as he or she is, by necessity or by choice, deliberately running while off line.

Please modify the program so that if the system is configured so that no connections are possible (e.g. it is a lap top in "flight mode") then it does not attempt to use the internet. If necessary iStripper could provide an explicit "off line" mode, and possibly a "start in offline mode" setting. If this is not practical then please do not show "scary" error messages but instead display a more neutral explanation as to why some operation requested by a user could not be performed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

25) The card details standing picture is sometimes displayed in a faded form

At the left of each card's details is a standing picture of the girl or duo. If it will not fit into the available space then it is displayed as a rather faded image which looks like an error even though there is no real problem.

Also this image is always fully clothed, which suits me, but I am sure that some users would prefer a nude picture or a transition from the clothed picture to a nude one.

20) No continuity of the interface view between successive runs of the program.

The contents of the "Now playing" side panel, including the "History" and "Next" items, together with the id of the last card (or last few cards) for which the details had been examined should preferably be saved on program exit and restored when it is next started.

This would allow users to more easily continue from where they stopped when trying to systematically work through some set of cards.

Maybe this should be controlled by an option on the settings panel.

Possibly a more general system of "bookmarks" could be used, one of which could be automatically updated to point to the last viewed card.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

21) The "Full screen" mode is poorly named.

As a heavy user of "full screen" mode its name has always seemed wrong to me. I can quite understand that internaly the desktop mode may be implemented using a set of invisible windows (that are not the size of the screen) while the "full screen scene" mode is implemented by rendering into a full screen sized buffer - but these are implementation details that are not relevant to the user.

From a user's point of view the most important aspect of "Full screen scenes" is not that they are "full screen" but that they are "scenes". Also, from the user's point of view, the desktop mode is "full screen" - at least when a single clip is played in large size.

I think that it would be better to de-emphasise the full screen aspect and rename the feature as "scene mode" or something similar. The icon could also be modified to include a very simple representation of a scene rather than a blank screen (though with Windows 10 style icons that might be a bit difficult to do well).

At some point in the future I would like to be able to render a "full screen scene" into a normal, resizable, system window with the option to blow it up to full screen size - similar to how most media players work. Rendering a scene into a small window should reduce the GPU usage thereby allowing some shader based scenes to run on lower spec systems than they currently need. If something like this is ever done then "full screen" becomes even more of a misnomer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

22) Access to iStripper logs.

It would be convenient if the iStripper interface provided a simple way to access any log files that are produced when running the software. It is not necessary for the iStripper interface to display their contents, only to list them and allow them to be opened by an whichever text editor the user prefers.

Actually, I have no problems in finding the files because I know where they are and have set up shortcuts to get to them quickly when I want to look at them. However, it would be better if there was a built in way to access them - if nothing else it would make it easier for Totem to request a copy their contents as I have seen them do when trying to diagnose users' problems.

16) Support clip deletion and restoration via clip list panel.

The main use of clip filenames that I am aware of is to allow users to manualy delete clips that they are not interested in. If it was possible to delete clips from the user interface, as is currently possible with whole cards then this reason for displaying the filename would disappear. Deleting a clip in this way might replace it with a zero sized file of the same or similar name or use some other mechanism to indicate that the file has been deleted and can be downloaded again and this restoration should be supported via the iStripper interface.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

17) Support both metric and English weights and measurements.

On my system the girls heights, vital statistics and weights are displayed as meters, centimeters and kilograms. Though for most purposes I prefer the metric system these particular measurements are among those for which I still prefer using feet, inches and pounds. Could you please add a setting to explicitly control this aspect of the program.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

18) Card details sub-panel tab labels or icons usage is inconsistant.

I normaly have the "Now playing" side panel open. If I then look at a card's details the tabs that are used to select comments, photos, videos, cards or the clip list are normaly indicated by icons with explanatory text in tool tips when the window is not maximised or as simple text when the window is maximised. Presumably it the space available that determines whether text or icons are used.

However, even when the window is maximised the the picture on the left hand side of the screen is sometimes wide enough to prevent the use of text labels, because they are too wide, and they are then replaced by the icons - but with no tool tips.

I mildly dislike the fact that the way that the tabs are labeled changes when maximising the window, and dislike slightly more the fact that the change is inconsistant depending as it does on the width of the performer's picture and whether or not the "Now playing" side panel is open. I would prefer that the way in which the tabs are labeled was always the same - which, for space reasons, probably means using icons - but this is a very ***** matter. The lack of tool tips when the icons are used for a maximised window is, however, much more important.

19) Clip durations can be too far from clip descriptions.

When the clip list for a card is viewed the clip durations can be very far from the clip descriptions - almost half a screen away if the "Now playing" side panel is closed. This too far even on my laptop's screen will be much worse on a large screen. It would be better if this column of durations was moved closer to the clip descriptions, or even to move it to the left of them.

10) Enabling or disabling all cards can take a long time.

With large collections, I have over 3000 cards, enabling or disabling all cards takes a long time and this will only get worse as the collection grows. I suspect that this is at least in part due to using the Windows registry to record which cards are enabled and then using one registry entry per enabled card. If a local file were used then recording this information ought to be almost instantaneous. You could even keep several such files and use a single registry entry to select one of them, this would provide an almost instantaneous way to switch between sets of cards.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11) Problems when scrolling

There are a number of small problems with the scroll bars and scrolling in general

a) In some cases scroll bars go under the "now Playing" and "Playlists" sidebar tabs. Unless the scroll bar handle is large it may then not be visible and can not be directly grabbed.

b) Scroll bars are not visible unless the mouse pointer is over them so you do not always know that they even exist. Please make them visible whenever they are available for use.

c) With a large collection scroll bars can be too sensitive to use by grabbing the slider and moving it so it is often necessary to click elsewhere on the scroll bar - but this moves the displayed set of cards by a full page. If only the top portion of the bottom row of cards was visible then these same cards will be shifted to the top of the panel where, unfortunately, only their bottoms will be visible.

Please make scrolling in this way always align the cards such that the top or bottom row of cards is always displayed in full depending on the direction of scroll.

It would also be better if when scrolling by a "page" in this way that bottom row always became the new top row (or vice versa depending on scroll direction) even when no partial cards are involved as this would allow the user to be sure that no intervening cards have been skipped. The extreme case where only a single row of cards is visible would need to be handled as a special case.

d) I often want to be able to scroll by just one row. This is impossible using "paging" and for large collections the scroll bar's slider is far too sensitive to be used to move by just a single row. A pair of up/down arrows that scroll by one row would be welcome.

e) With an earlier version if iStripper it was possible to scroll up or down by one row using the keyboard, but I found that it required that the arrow key is pressed at least three times before the first scrolling action occurs (at times I needed to press the key 5 times) and reversing required pressing the oposite arrow key 3 times before any effect is seen. The behaviour was strange, but at least it provided the basic funcionality. Please provide the ability to scroll in this way, but without the previous oddities.

7) Explain the "Levels of erotisism" via a pop-up.

The names of the "Levels of erotisism" are *****. e.g. a see-through top is counted as topless and the nudity, or even full nudity, rating can apply to clips where a significant amount of clothes are worn. I understand why the names are as they are - they name the levels of eroticism rather than directly describe them - and this is probably better than just using a number.

However, they can ***** users who might find it difficult to understand why a clip ending with a girl wearing a coat, blouse, bra, skirt drawn up to her waist, suspender belt, stockings, shoes, panties pulled down to mid thigh, plus a hat and gloves should be classified as nude, or even fully nude, when the girl i almost fully clothed. I have not seen anything quite that extreme, but in many of the "Nudity" level clips the girls are far from nude in the normal sense of the word. Some users (not me) have even ***** that a girl is not nude because she is wearing shoes, and nothing but shoes.

A further complication is that the meanings of some of the names differs between the iStripper and iStripperXXX cards, e.g. most iStripperXXX "Full Nudity" clips would be XXX clips if part of an iStripper card (there are a few iStripper cards with a mild XXX clip).

For these reasons it would be helpful to have a pop-up on the "Levels of erotisism" setting (and also on the detailed clip list) that explained the meanings of the names. This could be triggered via a help button labeled with [?] at the side of the list. It might be worth while making the pop-up be automatic but with a "Do no show me this message again" button in order to ensure that the user will always have seen it at least once.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8) Add clip type restriction to the settings panel.

Currently, via the Setting panel, it is possible to restrict which of the "Levels of erotisism" are to be played. It would be useful to also be able to specify which types of clip (i.e. standing, table, top, pole, cage) are to be considered. As with the "Levels of eroticism" a help button bringing up an explanation of each clip type would be helpful as the meanings of each is not always obvious.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9) A quick and obvious way to select/deselect all displayed cards is needed.

Although it may be possible to select or deselect all of the cards displayed on the "my collection" panel it is not immediately obvious that it can be done, or if it can be done that it can be done quickly.

Simple buttons to

Select/Deselect all cards
Enable/Disable all cards
Select/Deselect all currently displayed cards
Enable/Disable the selected cards

would be welcome.

The main scenarios I am thinking of are summarised by

a. Apply a filter to select some set of cards
then
b. Optionaly manualy deselect a few cards
then
c. Enable/disable the delected, and only the selected, cards.
or
c. Add the currently selected cards to the set of enabled cards
or
c. Remove the currently selected cards from the set of enabled cards
or
c. Add the currently selected cards to a playlist
or
c. Remove the currently selected cards from a playlist

Some observations and suggestions regarding iStripper

3) The iStripper window's "halo" is too wide.

When the iStripper window is the top window, but does not occupy the full screen, then you need to click well away from the iStripper window to bring some other window to the front.

With a normal Windows 10 window there appears to be a narrow band around any window which belongs to that window rather than any lower window, this is visible as a faint shadow if the lower window has a pale background and by the fact that the mouse pointer takes the double arrowed form used for resizing operations when it is in this "halo" area. On my system this "halo" is about 1/8 inch wide for normal windows, e.g. those for the File Explorer or Notepad++, but it is about twice as wide for the iStripper window. As a result I find that I often can not easily switch from iStripper to some other window even though quite a wide strip of the other window is clearly visible. It took me quite some time to realise why I was unable to bring some windows to the front, and until I realised what was happening it was very frustrating. It is still annoying even now that I know the cause.

Please reduce the size of the iStripper "halo" to match that of used by other windows.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) Missing "tooltips"

At the bottom of the "Now playing" panel are two tick boxes labeled "Random" and "Repeat". It is not at all clear what they are for. Tooltips that explain them would be useful. There are other items that lack tooltips and would benefit from adding them, but these are the only ones that I think most urgently need them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5) Improve browsing of card details.

When displaying the details for a single card the option to continue to show the other cards (after filtering) as a side panel (one, two or three cards wide) or as a bottom ribbon would facilitate browsing.

Even if this is not done switching to some other card should cause the details for the new card to be displayed but without changing which set of details (e.g. clip list) is being displayed. For example when downloading several photosets it would be simpler for the users if they did not have to click on the camera icon every time they chose a new card.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6) "My collection" and "Girls store" behaviour differences.

When clicking on a card in the "My collection" panel the display switches to show the details for that card, closing the overall "My collection" panel.

When clicking on a card in the "Girls store" panel a pop-up (or is it a side pannel) appears giving further details of the card, this pop-up obscures part of the main "Girls store" panel.

It would, perhaps, be better if the behaviours were similar. Preferably neither should close the main panel, only reduce its width when the a card is clicked.
