Bug #1582: 11 previews instead of 7 previews.

There was a bug that was displaying 11 demos instead of 7 and it has been fixed.
7 Demos is the right number.

this new update wasn't much for me. I would like more to see a transparency setting put in the settings section. particularly in the small mode. a slider to make the model very clear to side all the way over to make the model almost see through. v.g. had this sitting and it came in quite useful. I have asked this for over a year and have seen many updates but none that pertained to anything I can use. common folks help me out.

Can we please get a option to disable lower resolutions previews from playing? They can still be pushed but I don't want to see them. Its too *****. Out of my 1891 cards I have I only have 624 enabled. All 3K. I have abandoned the 1080p and 720p and the "original"720p I ***** with gasoline in a pile of old rags.

Yea ive tried a number of racing sims like, gran turismo games and the Need For Speed Series. Also some Formula One games in the past. And it allways the same thing i play it for about 5 to 10 minutes start to yawn find it boring and press the quit button. Not for me. But other people will find it great.
Im more of a action type game guy. Battlefield One, Witcher 3, Overwatch. More action.

Please keep in mind this is an intermediate release fixing the issue with the control of the size of the buffer used on the HD for previews deleting by mistake previews clips from full cards and fixing the issues with rebuild all when the account had some partially downloaded (or deleted) previews. Theses were important issues for many users with large collections, so we had to release this version even if the tuning of free previews push / whishlist / delete free previews was not finished. The next release will focus on fixing free preview push, allow you to delete free previews and give more choice in whishlists, including the option to say I don't like this girl, I don't want to see her again.

@leopardman69 let us check your account to see why you're not getting any discounts. Can you confirm the previews on the picture you posted have been pushed by the software and it's not previews that you added yourself?

@converse The XXX logo is already there. Check out the Hotness level icon in the lower right corner of the page. It either says Full Nudity or XXX.

About 1 click purchase, it was a frequent request as CS. If you don't like that option, do not activate it and it won't bother you.

I believe we're going to change the behaviour for pushed free previews this way: Software will push free previews when software is ON AND user is active (the mouse is moving) and will stop pushing previews after 7 new previews if any of the two conditions becomes false. This way we won't be pushing preview all night to computers that are not used, but using your computer just a bit will be enough to trigger the replacement of the 7 free previews. I believe this would acceptable for our server charge and enjoyable for the user. If you leave your computer alone, watch Fullscreens or turn iStripper OFF, the software will keep pushing new previews until all the current ones are replaced.

I activated the demo show push but I am not getting any discount on the cards. What seems to be the problem?

The discount you see on the screenshot is due to my status. What do I need to do to get the discount?

The software is running. So what did I do wrong not to get the discount?

And there is another problem: Since the update before this one I cannot delete the previews anymore. Where once was the "x" to be clicked to delete the preview there is no more "x" popping up. So I need to delete hte files on my hard drive manually. That is not so comfortable.

You are right, the downloading the demos you want is a new and much better feature. I just think its sorta funny with all the discount structure going back and forth: from new cards getting a discount, to everycard getting a discount because everyone was only buying cards the first week, then to weekend only sales for specific shows, to getting the initial release discount again, and now back where we started to what is basically the caroselle.

And I would rather buy a card more, than having to spend my money on a new HD - hench the wish to waste as little as possible, and the questions that follows with that.

I do understand your point to save money.

But I think you have to see it from another side.
If you are keep collecting video-files someday your HD will be full anyway. What will you do then? Deleting older cards is like loosing money. Deleting demos or other special clips is like loosing money too.
An additional HD - internal or external - is an investment in your future. Or you have to stop collecting some day.

Guess I was just surpised, that ALL my cards have demo's downloaded. And I don't really have any intention of muccking or fiflling with anyting.
From your answer, I take it, they are used for P2P.
My router is blocking all ports, that are not used for normal web traffic. So chances are, sharing of files from here, is also blocked.
I'm retired, and have very little money to spend on iStripper. And I would rather buy a card more, than having to spend my money on a new HD - hench the wish to waste as little as possible, and the questions that follows with that.

Is there anything wrong with having a "Show me a preview" button (or link) to allow the user to push previews when they want to? If you wanted to limit them, you could limit the number the user pushes in a certain amount of time (e.g. 7 every hour or better 20 per day). With this feature, you could still limit the number of previews one has at one time to only 7.

about the previews I just sit and wait. Sometimes I don't use the mouse for hours just let them dance and watch a movie besides or do other things. Would be sad if that would not be possible anymore.

@kutta you need the software to be ON and the computer to be used (mouse moving etc) for demos to be pushed.

Thanks for clearing it up but I don't see the logic in this. I could be watching a movie and istripper at the same time. I'm not moving my mouse but still enjoying the software. I think previews should be pushed as long as the software is running. And if users think it's not enough time for them to decide to buy, they can choose a longer time under preview push like how it is now.

The way I see it, software currently is achieving the goal of limiting users to only 7 cards at a given time. Users will have to wait 10 minutes minimum for new content and as a bonus, 3rd card is discounted to entice user to make a decision on purchase because the card may not show up again for a while

@MisterWhite - I don't recall an option to download preview "on demand" in the past - so no, it's not the same. Also: every third (if I got it right) is only temporary for testing period, after that it will be more... randomized. ;) And in the past it was always one a day (I can be wrong here) - now we can decide on the frequency (to certain point).

BTW: discount for newer cards was very frequent, 720 - maybe 2 or 3 recently (nurses and maids I believe) - I like that this solution is not so pushy on newest (read: most expensive) cards like previews "random" discounts. Here I got both 3k (and it's really remote for randomizer to find these - I have only a handful not in my collecion yet), some 1080 and some 720, and I love it! :)

There is a propencity to push 720p shows at a discount. I get it, but even at a 8ish credits I more than likely won't buy one of those ecards.

Is anyone else seeing how this is and an odd revision of the old Virtuagirl carosel system. basically its the same thing, except only every third card is discounted and at a higher price point: 1 credit(10 given the inflation) vs Whatever the discount is now. I don't think it is really a complaint, just an obserevation that after a complete rebranding and new client, we sorta are back to where Virtuagirl was circa the first E & F series cards.

Edit** The old cards/720p are significantly cheaper. No complaints about that in of itself.

• New releases is not supposed to show XXX cards if you don't check "Show XXX cards in Advanced Settings". If this is not working, let me know. Once you have at least one XXX card you can not uncheck this setting as we did not anticipate users buying some XXX cards and them choosing not to see any. Let me see, but this does not sound easy to fix, as it would mean to filter content everywhere rather than only in the store.

I already anticipated this difficult, so I already suggested alternative and easy way:
"At least, these card must to have an relevant logo on them in the RELEASES carousel, to know from the first eye it's different. I bought many XXX card last years, only because of this confussion."
These XXX cards must to be clearly different and easy to identify them as XXX.

About "One click puchase", I think you must to remove this function at all in next versions; all purchase must to be clear and made without any mistake or confussion. Is not so hard to click twice, it's my money to spend. If this function will remain, I think you will receive many request for cancel different transaction made by mistake.

And, to inform you personally, I want to post here another two bugs that I still found them in every version, including current one, and about I informed your team many times untill now:

1. When I run a playlist in "Now Playing" menu, selected clips are played continuously, without any break between them, without action here of function set by me in "Delay Between Shows". In this situation, is just like I set "Continously" everytime, even if I set 30 seconds, 3 minutes or any other delay there.
I spent a lot of time for writing some custom playlists, which run on one of my computers at my office, but I want to pause between clips, as I set in menu, because it's very disturbing for me to run continuously.

2. Also, another bug that occurred many years ago, by mistake that you've made in an update at that time, and that I reported it at least three times in last three years, without a correction in any of the versions of software:
Function "Do not stop the music at the end of clips" do not work properly in "Full size"; music runs continuously, no matter if this function is active (check in settings) or not. In "Small size" is functioning properly.

Is there a way you can turn off the previews from the preview window? It keeps popping into my shows when i have maximized one model.

I would think non-paying members would not want previews pushed at all. They'll just pick the cards they want; a discount means nothing if they are not paying. I've thought about it and cannot think of preview system along these lines that would work for both me and Totem. I do like the discounts but not if it means having to play demo shows that are not to my taste.

Mmmm, the trick is we're only pushing free previews if the users is using his computer.
Otherwise we would be wasting tons of bandwidth pushing free previews that would vanish before the users comes back to his computer (let's say you let iStripper run all night).
I admit this is making a bit difficult to see the discounts, plus since you can't delete previews yet, you might sit in front of previews of girls you don't like.
We'll add delete preview in the next update and maybe rethink how free previews are pushed (maybe free users have to use their computer and paying customers get free previews pushed even if they're not there?)

Free Users Must be actively Using the Computer...

For a Paying Member.
let them check a box to Get 7 new Previews, 1 every 10 minutes.. Then it waits for them to review.
They would have to remove one Or More of the Existing Previews before they get more.

This way, they could Clear out their Previews. Check the Option,
and when the return from What ever. an hour later or 10 hours later. 7 New previews are waiting for them.

this way you are only Pushing a max of 7 at a time to a paid user in any given hour.

Rex: I'm not sure what exactly do you mean by saying that user is using its computer. Actually, I was browsing on the net and watching some videos in VLC player with opened iStripper in the tray, i.e. I was really using my computer from my point of view...

Thanks to Celine and wishlist I don't need to see a preview to decide what I'm going to buy however I could use this to buy those cards cheaper if it was somthing like weekend sale where downloading the preview is optional. I rather use that data to download paid cards. The idea the new card(s) replace the purchased one is good. manual push button on preview tab looks good too [ it can be grayed out for desire time unterval]. After all most likely somebody has to be infront of the computer to use it.

I was actually thinking that when I have some cash to spent, I'd love to be able to say: push often, push hard, push when I remove or when I buy...

Read: when I enable this mode you just push no matter what (even if activity is zero) and don't wait ten minutes after purchase (these 6 or less girls look very lonely...).

I'm looking forward to April update with improved wishlist - pushed previews with discount at random card is brilliant idea and huge temptation to buy cards I didn't even consider before... ;) And very important element for me: finally I can buy older cards at lower price. Most of the Friday's sales were selling 3K cards first, so it was really hard to get anything older (and boy - I miss a lot of nice cards there) discounted... :(

2) If you select a girl & card and go to her list of cards.. is the actually selected card hidden in the list or visible ( and grayed out ).. as in version 138 or earlier?

I'm sorry but the functionality of previews doesn't work at all on my pc. Last preview was downloaded yesterday evening and with the discount of 12%. The settings is the default one, i.e. download previews each 10 minutes, however, no new previews even after one hour of running today... :-(

a safer way for you to get rid of unwanted Trailers is this..
On your My Collection View.
Select a card or Multiple Card(s)

Then Right Click on the Trash Can Icon.
Select Delete Previews Only.

That will remove the Trailers, while Leaving all the Needed files alone.
