VG Playlist Manager V 2.8.1

New Features:

• Support for VirtuaGirl 1.2.0.66 and higher.
• New filters for the new Collections VG Interactive and DB Interactive
• New Cliptimer on the clipinfo dialog which shows the calculated remaining play time of that clip as a countdown
• New systray Menu Function "Next Clip"
• Option to include Transition clips into the playlist (per default excluded)
• Option to include Disabled Clips was replaced by option to include transition clips

Important: THIS IS A BETA VERSION! Usage at your own risk!
For now don't start a playlist if you have set the number of girls in small mode higher than 1. It will not work correctly then.

Don't run more than one Instance of my program or you will just get a slide show!

Don't rely too much on the cliptimer. Its ok for telling if the clip will run for another 2 minutes or end in 30 seconds but not for determining if it will run for another 5 seconds or 15. I won't answer to ***** about the inaccurate timer!!

Hi everybody,

the issue with the progressive hotness is not the only frustating item in the player.
I have 2 screens with different resolutions. Can you imagine, how ridiculous it looks, when half a girl is big on the left screen, and the other half small on the right screen? This happens frequently in small mode.
On my large screen I want to work and watch the girls on the smaller screen. I didn't find a way yet, to tell the player only to use the right screen. The "Settings/Desktop/Working space/Sarts on: Right side" seems to be ignored.
With the old player this worked - so it is possible.

I also would apreciate it, if I could define a playlist not only for complete cards, but also for specific clips. What's so difficult about playing a list of clipfile-names insted of card-numbers?

I agree!! what is up with these new demos? we only get 2, as opposed to the 3 that there used to be, and now every model is doing this beckoning gesture?! I have turned down more hot babes lately because of this, which some director at totem seems to think is a good idea. wrong! we pay to see these girls dance and strip, and that still needs to be represented in thier demos. what is up with Totem Lately? as stated above, this seems to have started with the dorcel cards, and now there is just no variety at all. so, why should I spend my money, Totem?

I just deleted my last post as it was getting too complicated. I've rehashed my Fire and Water scene using many tweaks including Beast's clipNameSprite code from his 'Shades' album (with a few more tweaks) and also added lezardo's new framebuffer with antiAlias shader code. This really does make a difference to older cards in particular :) Thanks to both of you guys, mucho!

I haven't used this awesome addon in quiet awhile for obvious software changes of course. But I would like to request a future feature. If it's even possible that is. A "continuous looping" option of created playlists. I hope you get what I mean. Instead of the app simply stopping when it's done with a playlist mabey loop back to the beginning infinitely or I stop it manually. If it can't be done it doesn't matter I'll still use it when it usable again. Thank you for your great app sir.

In this thread, @WyldAnimal discusses the possibility of splitting the models folder over 2 hard drives, but it's technical, risky and cumbersome for new users. If I understand correctly, I can see that his example could, in theory, be multiplied to allow for expansion across several HD's, perhaps with a separate desktop icon for each drive. This option still limits access to the clips on only 1 drive at a time, per instance of the VG software. (I don't know if you can run more than 1 instance - not my point here anyway.) It's a work-around to the software. As is the suggestion that I buy a bigger drive each year to replace the one I already have.

Expanding on @Virt4B's thoughts, if Totem would expand the selection box to include the possibility to add several "location of my shows" instead of just one and write all of those locations to the registry. In theory, you could then use several USB drives to save your models and still be able to access all clips seamlessly in one instance of VG. The aim here is to incorporate this idea into an idiot-proof program-controlled spanning of several drives. Then again, maybe that's more trouble for the developers.

(Sorry to dig up old memories by resurrecting this thread... Perhaps someone will adjust my knowledge of the rules of etiquette?)

I've redone this scene as I originally intended it to look. Now the fragment shader is working on the background image, along with the vertex shader, instead of on the name or model :)

Ok sorry that i didn't finish my modifications in time.
I encountered some problems that i hadn't expected.
But good news is that i solved the problems.
Still there are some things that remain to be done.
For now i will put the virtualgirl and virtuagirl interactive cards into the product filter for virtuagirl and will not make a seperate filter for vg interactive. Same goes for deskbabes
That is on my todo list however.
I will add the command next clip to the systray menu as that should be quick to make.
So with 24 hour delay you will find the new version here. But if ever a version was beta then this one. I did some testing which was one thing that costed much time today as i have to watch at least 3 clips in a row to make realistic tests.
But this new beta has many internal changes in the source code i made over the last year. Mainly to make the code easier to maintain. You will be my beta testers if you will use the new version.
One interisting thing is that my addon is able to play the transition clips at will even in full size.
Theoretically it should be possible to use the fitting transitions to connect the clips. but that will be a hell of work so this is more of a long time goal.
For the beta version the transition clips will be filtered out as otherwise they would be played one after another and that makes no sense at all.
so thats for the status update folks. Tomorrow your wait should finally be over.

@SweetAngel - Your goal of 750 cards is very close, well done! I too hope to reach double diamond status, but you will beat me to it :)

Finally it is almost time there I am only 10 cards to get my goal of 750 cards for Double Diamond has achieved status, I always had to open a theme to because this is my first big goal at Virtua Girl and DeskBabes, my next goal is to then have 1500 cards and because to achieve triple diamond status whether they are normal Vg cards, Classic Vg cards or DeskBabes cards, this is of course subject to my letzes Double diamond status I hope you annoyed that not a bit but it has been as said above my goal or rather my dream and now I am only 10 cards up to the age Tuesday I'll probably have reached at the latest!

My grand total for now is 1915 cards made of VG, DB and *one* Classic card. I do not think I am near any next theoretical level yet, but since Totem always makes the levels so that there will be no retroactive bonuses for crossing level barriers it would be rather nice if they announced next levels NOW. Didn't get any bonuses for any diamond levels and while I am 'fine' with it I would not want it to happen again.

First, let me say that I have most of the models. I also believe that there are so many great ones that I cannot justify giving any one model more than 1 point (not even my favorites). No not finished yet. right now Melisa is dancing for me in the last clip of a 3 clip playlist
It all looks good so far. Replay is implemented.
Also the function to play a different clip while a playlist is active.
It will now start instantly and not wait until the current clip is done.
In fact many things are much easier this way.
I always know which clip is playing now and which clip i will put into the queue next. so for a replay i just tell to play the clip that is playing now again instead of using the clip that should be next. after the replay it will be the next clip unless you order to replay again.
Play clip is similar i just replace the clip that is playing currently with the clip the user used the play clip button on and the next clip to be played will still be the one that i already selected before.

Now only next show, next scene, next cliptype functions need to be adjusted. and i will add a next clip function that will just make the next clip already chosen and shown in the tooltip as next clip play instantly.
Thats so simple now its really laughable. so I give you that new feature too. But you have to wait til tomorrow. You US / Canadian folks should find it, when you have had your breakfast and the europeans in the early afternoon tomorrow.

Also so far i only tested with old shows no interactive shows yet. once it works for the old ones that will be the next test. Maybe i have to remove the intermediate clips from the playlists. Have to make some tests once the old shows work as before (in fact better than before)

I dug up an old thread with yet another option that I hadn't considered. Seems like 5 or 6 years ago, there were a group of musicians chatting about creating their own music for sharing with other members. There are a couple of links to an upload site they were sharing, but those sites are either no longer in use, or in another language. Yet another site referenced in that thread has had it's URL replaced by a chat line.

Quite honestly the finger beckoning by every friggin model anymore is just annoying!! how can totem possibly think that this is sexy or makes me want to buy $50.00 worth of cards right now this second?! it needs to STOP totem!
