If already on the Experimental branch, it has automatically updated; all you need to do is quit / relaunch to activate it.
To switch to the Experimental, scroll down your advanced settings and select "Experimental" in "Version type".
This Experimental version features a brand new content named "Dressing Room Collection" - accessible directly from the home page.

How does the new dressing room cards work? Are they playable like regular iStripper cards directly on the desktop as an overlay, or is it a collection of standard videos played via the media player built into the software?

I purchased one of the cards. It's very nice bonus content if you like the particular model. Just just keep in mind that it is different from the standard cards. It is a portrait video of the model that you can click on to make larger or smaller. It's actually quite nice, excellent bonus content. As of now, it is NOT visible in your collection. It is only accessible via scrolling down on the home page to a new row section. I think it should appear in your collection.

As of now, it is NOT visible in your collection Because it's a streaming video from the servers, not a regular card and not downloadable.
Very simple solution is to encode it the same as the video files of the regular shows. Then make it downloadable and playable only via the software as allother cards. For 50 CR (I happily paid it not *****) it should appear in yor collection imo so it is playable offline like regular cards.

FYI : To MacOS users : Message from our dev :
"Hi there, PSA for MacOS users
Your collection will not be updated if you buy shows, and shows can't be downloaded on the current Experimental version. The problem is identified and fixed on our end, however it takes time to create a version, and well we're not about to package one at 5pm on a Friday, so the fix will come with a version on Monday.
The best workaround I have for you right now is to switch back to the Beta/Stable version to do such actions. Do note that once you're up-to-date, you can switch back to the Experimental version without problems, your cards shouldn't disappear, they just won't update at all.
