Hello,

I use iStripper since many years (VirtuaGirl before) and I have many cards (more than 2600).

If I take the Steam version, I keep my collection ?

What is the benefit of using the Steam version though? 😲

Is there any real difference, other than the fact that you will be letting the folks on your friend list know that you actually bought and use iStripper on Steam? 😆

From what I understand
the APP itself is exactly the same with a different Skin.
But the Accounts have a unique identifier and also use the Steam server to deploy the content.
So you can't use the Steam App to Access your iStripper account info.

If you Download and Install the Steam App, you get the same software, but a few different registry values that identify it as the Steam app.
And that also means you have to create a new user Account to connect through the Steam Servers.

So no, you can't use your existing collection on the Steam version
and no
The Steam version won't solve 2nd monitor, Screen Saver, Full Screen Scene issues.
It's the Same software, just with a slightly different configuration.

Any way, that my understanding of the Difference.

Steam Version of iStripper on the left, iStripper on the right
Steam app is Not Free
Steam has it's own Credit Purchasing system through Steam.
Steam does not have a Forum or Web site button
Steam Currently only has the iStripper collection, not the iStripper XXX ( but I haven't bought a card yet, so a free member may not have access to the iStripperXXX collection )

Well Steam does have it's own Forums, but not this one...
So I guess a Thread could be dedicated on the Steam forum to Everything iStripper.
Someone would just have to do double posts...
Hear and on Steam

As I don't think the Steam user / passwords would work to log in here.

@Manue: If that's the case, it should be made more clear on the Steam store page, I think.

I assume this is because of Steam policies these things are not available?

Also: Have the team considered adding a "patch" mechanism similar to some adult games on Steam, where the patch can enable those features?

Usually, it's just by adding a text file to a folder called "patch.txt" or similar. The only thing this wouldn't overcome would be linking a Steam user with an iStripper user, but I'm sure the team could come up with something easily. ;)

I don't think there needs to be any Joining of the two products.
The Steam product is its own Audience, and being run as a separate entity.

Respectfully, I thoroughly disagree. Here's why.

Let's say someone finds iStripper for the first time on Steam, and decides to buy a bunch of content.

Later, they find out about VR content or XXX content and want to purchase.

Now, they need two accounts - and their collection is split across two different installs of the same software. Ridiculous.

Similarly, I'm a triple-diamond on iStripper, and would love to use Steam to manage my installation, even if that did mean installing a "patch" file initially.

I expect you'll see a lot of negative feedback over time about this fragmented experience, and it could also have an impact on sales.

Customers shouldn't have to "choose" between the platforms.

so, I am taking it that the steam version really isn't worth getting, if you already have iStripper on desktop?
Cause, I may have only 10 shows right now, but if there is no XXX then I feel the steam version is overrated. can someone specify if there is anything special to the steam version? I am just wondering why it exists at this point if there is nothing special except that it costs money for a 50 cred and there is no XXX Shows
so, that means half of the content worth getting (if not more) isn't on steams version
Am I understanding what is being said here??

Steam is Public.
Anyone can view your Steam profile and see everything you've played and when you played it..

Do you really want to combine your XXX porn watching on you Steam profile?

The Answer here, is if you already have the Free iStripper GUI ( software installed )
there is no reason to Purchase the Steam version.

Well I won´t give a damn if somebody see me watching porn actually many guys do it including women, but in any case the no XXX is absurd. Is like buying a unique car with no engine. Pretty silly if you ask. Odd situation.
